Rawwater Engineering Company Ltd / Rawwater to Contribute Key Expertise at SPE Water Injection and Treatment Management Workshop

Rawwater is proud to announce its participation in next week’s Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International Workshop on Water Injection and Treatment Management, taking place in Kuala Lumpur. This prestigious event brings together global experts to discuss critical developments in water management, treatment technologies, and reservoir souring mitigation within the oil and gas sector.

As a long-standing leader in microbiological reservoir souring prediction and control, Rawwater is contributing both technically and strategically to the workshop’s agenda. Our Principal Scientist, Matt Streets, will play a prominent role across two key sessions during the event.

In Session 6: Reservoir Souring – Prediction & Management, Matt will deliver a technical presentation titled “Nitrate Treatment of Injection Water: Remediating and Controlling Microbial Oilfield Reservoir Souring for Operational Excellence.” This talk will explore how nitrate treatment strategies can be effectively applied to prevent and control microbiological souring, enhancing field performance while reducing operational risk.

In addition to presenting, Matt will also chair Session 7: Innovations in Water Injection, guiding discussions on new technologies, methodologies, and forward-thinking solutions that are shaping the future of water injection systems across the energy sector.
