Rawwater Founder and Managing Director
Professor Bob Eden PhD
Rawwater Founder and Managing Director
The inventor of the Bismuth Plug, Bob has worked with bismuth alloy seals for almost 30 years. Bob serves as a technology developer for the oil industry, with activity in the exploitation of innovative technologies for Shell International and BP.
Before establishing Rawwater, he worked at UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology), developing technologies in explosive cutting and cladding, corrosion, subsea engineering and well technology.
Bob's oilfield technologies include subsea reservoir injection systems, bismuth alloy well-sealing and forecasting tools for oilfield reservoir souring.
Head of Division – Scientific & Senior Research Scientist
Matt Streets
Head of Division – Scientific & Senior Research Scientist
Matt’s expertise lies in understanding and managing problems associated with microbiological biofouling in the upstream oil & gas industry. A regular speaker at key industry events, his areas of interest include oilfield reservoir souring, souring remediation and control, laboratory-based oilfield microbiology simulation studies, and oilfield reservoir souring forecasting and modelling.
As a highly respected microbiologist, Matt is acutely aware of the importance of providing Rawwater’s global client base with cost-effective treatment strategies to mitigate oilfield souring.
Senior Research Scientist
Leanne Walker
Senior Research Scientist
Leanne is a leading member of our microbiological souring services team. Working on behalf of major oil & gas operators and service companies, she researches the oilfield reservoir conditions that support and inhibit the growth of souring bacteria, as well as treatment strategies.
Working in association with the University of Manchester, she is leading our vital research into the microbiology of Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) environments. A vastly experienced microbiologist, Leanne runs our pressurised bioreactor suites and our predictive reservoir souring modelling program with Head of Division, Matt Streets.
Managing Director – Rawwater Applied Technology Ltd
Kat Lennox
Managing Director – Rawwater Applied Technology Ltd
Kat heads up Rawwater Applied Technology Ltd, the company responsible for developing Rawwater’s M3 Molten Metal Manipulation leak-sealing capabilities for various industry sectors and successfully applying the technology to each customer’s specific needs.
Currently leading the development of M3 Molten Metal Manipulation for use in nuclear decommissioning and the prevention of SF6 greenhouse gas leaks in power distribution, Kat offers a unique perspective into the requirements of the nuclear sector. Before joining Rawwater, Kat was a key account director with the UK's National Nuclear Laboratory Ltd (NNL).
Project & Operations Manager – Metal Seals
Nicola Seferta
Project & Operations Manager – Metal Seals
A specialist in quality production systems and techniques, Nicola uses her considerable knowledge to assist in the development, commercialisation and delivery of our M3 Molten Metal Manipulation programme.
Working in association with our metallurgists and dedicated engineers, Nicola’s responsibilities surround SF6 leak sealing, transformer oil leak sealing, as well as various remote leak recovery challenges for customers around the globe.
Before joining Rawwater, Nicola worked as Logistics and Manufacturing Manager for a leading exhaust systems supplier.
Project Delivery Manager – Well Sealing
Martin Charles
Project Delivery Manager – Well Sealing
Martin heads up our well integrity and metals seals and encapsulation teams. His work includes overseeing the advancement of our high-integrity bismuth alloys for oilfield plugging and abandonment, and research into well and pipework systems integrity.
He is also assisting the development of our M3 Molten Metal Manipulation programme – a range of specially developed low-melting-point alloys and application techniques to provide tenacious, reversible metal seals for use in nuclear decommissioning, as well as other industry sectors.
